Security - an accessibility requirement
Security against masquerade and manipulation of data and contents should possibly be added as a functional performance criteria in 4.2 and whereever appropriate. This is not explicitly mentioned in the EAA, but can be derived from the definition of accessibility. Privacy (Security against interrogation) is already included in 4.2.11, so it does not need to be repeated.
This is a proposal for addition in 4.2. Specific clauses will be needed elsewhere if this is accepted. Probably mainly for alternative media, but possibly for other aspects as well. 4.2.12 Security Where ICT provides features for accessibility, the ICT maintains the security of these features at the same level as other features.
NOTE: When alternative media is provided by accessibility reasons, the contents of these media needs security protection against manipulation, masquerade and interrogation to the same degree as other media.
