Note 3 of the requirement 12.1.1
The requirement 12.1.1 is expressed at the moment like this:
12.1.1 Accessibility and compatibility features
Product documentation provided with the ICT whether provided separately or integrated within the ICT shall list and explain how to use the accessibility and compatibility features of the ICT.
NOTE 1: Accessibility and compatibility features include accessibility features that are built-in and accessibility features that provide compatibility with assistive technology.
NOTE 2: It is best practice to use WebSchemas/Accessibility 2.0 [i.38] to provide meta data on the accessibility of the ICT.
NOTE 3: The accessibility statement and help pages are both examples of the provision of product information
An expression "the accessibility statement" within Note 3 is confusing for me, as for me (a civil servant whose responsibility is the implementation of digital accessibility policies in a member state of the EU), the expression is associated foremost with the Implementing Decision (EU) 2018/1523. The decision requires in a very detailed way to add into the accessibility statement compliance status of the website or mobile application, description of non-accessible content, etc. (please take a look at an annex of the decision),and it's complicated to add into the statement the information required by 12.1.1 (the information about accessibility features). For me, it seems more reasonable to have 2 different pages: a page with the accessibility statement and a help page (in such a way, it is easier to advise public sector bodies as well, because in the framework of the content of the pages, I have to rely on only one document, whether the decision or EN 301 549).
Thus, I propose to reconsider the wording of Note 3.
