For the purposes of this standard, the enterprise browser use case shares the same high-level architecture and trust boundaries as the general purpose web browser (See General Purpose Browser Architecture Diagram), but with additional use-case specific components:

- An enterprise policy enforcement engine that checks all web browser actions against a predefined enterprise security policy;

- An enterprise policy enforcement engine that checks some or all web browser actions against a predefined enterprise security policy;

- A centralized management interface that handles policy configuration, software updates, and extension deployments;

- A Data Loss Prevention (DLP) engine that monitors user activity such as downloads, uploads, clipboard operations, and printing against enterprise security policies;

- A logging component that records web browser activity for auditing, compliance, and forensics purposes;
