Clarify Language in Note 8 of Clause 11.1.4.10 to Accurately Reflect WCAG2ICT Modifications

The current text of Note 8 in Clause 11.1.4.10 does not accurately reflect the nature of the changes made in WCAG2ICT. Specifically, WCAG2ICT retained the original WCAG notes with a simple word substitution—replacing “web content” with “content”—and added Notes 3 through 7, without rewriting the original notes.

To improve clarity and precision regarding what was modified and added, the wording of Note 8 should be adjusted.

PROPOSED CHANGE

Revise Note 8 to read:

“This success criterion is identical to the WCAG 2.2 Success Criterion 1.4.10 Reflow, replacing ‘web content’ with ‘content’ and adding Notes 3 to 7.”
