Incomplete requirements for EAA Annex I(I)(2)(a) "alternatives to... tactile elements"

EAA Annex I(I)(2)(a)

When the product provides for communication, including interpersonal communication, operation, information, control and orientation, it shall do so via more than one sensory channel; this shall include providing alternatives to vision, auditory, speech and tactile elements.

In contrast to #468 (closed), this does not require tactile discernibility, but rather the opposite — it requires an alternative to tactile information. For example, information about a control can't be tactile only, nor would haptics alone be sufficient.

Currently in EN 301 549

The 2025-02-07 draft does not cover this requirement.

Proposed

Add a sub-clause of 5 "Generic requirements" not limited to closed functionality.
