Incomplete requirements for EAA Annex I(I)(2)(g) audio quality

Currently

EAA Annex I(I)(2)(g) says:

when the product uses audio it shall provide for user control of volume and speed, and enhanced audio features including the reduction of interfering audio signals from surrounding products and audio clarity

For this EAA provision, Table ZB.1 currently refers only to clause 5.1.3.4. The EAA provision includes several specific requirements which apply to any audio on any ICT type, but clause 5.1.3.4 is limited to stopping and restarting speech output in closed functionality.

Proposed

EN 301 549 needs clauses that address all ICT types (e.g., under clause 5 not limited to closed functionality), to cover these explicit EAA requirements:

  • User control of audio volume
  • User control of audio speed
  • Enhanced audio features in general
  • A specific "enhanced audio" feature: "reduction of interfering audio signals from surrounding products" — EAA Annex II gives an indiciative non-binding example "Allowing the user of a telephone to select the volume of the sound and reduce the interference with hearing aids so that persons who are hard of hearing can use the telephone."
  • A specific "enhanced audio" feature: "audio clarity"

I don't know what all of those mean exactly, so I'm looking to EN 301 549 for help.
