Add 6.2.2.5 Review of RTT communication (from 13.4.8 of TR 103 708)
TR 103 708 contains many proposals for additions and modifications of RTT-related clauses in EN 301 549. There has been an ambition to introduce them all in GitLab. But one called "6.2.2.7 Reviewing of received RTT" seems to have been missed. (Or at least I did not find any traces of it). It is an important requirement and is therefore introduced now, with a few small changes:
- the header is proposed to be renamed to "6.2.2.5 Review of RTT communication contents", because also the RTT communication of the local user should be presented when reviewing.
- the clause number is changed to 6.2.2.5, the next free in the rtt presentation clause.
I know that there has been discussion about how long the review capability should be kept. The proposal here is at least during the current or latest communication. It is common that RTT users review the contents after the end of the communication, so it important that the communication does not disappear right after the end of the communication. Some RTT implementations ask the user directly after a communication if it shall be kept, and if not, it is deleted. It is a bit risky to require review of only the latest communication, because a new communication can come in right after the previous one so, it is better to have a question to the user about saving the RTT communication.
Proposed wording
6.2.2.5 Review of RTT communication contents
Where ICT has RTT presentation capabilities,
the ICT shall provide the ability to review previous RTT communication contents for the current or latest communication.
NOTE 1: When the presentation is in a position for presenting earlier communicated text, the local user usually prefers that the reading position is only changed by local user action and not by arrival of new text, while when the presentation is positioned to present latest text, then arrival or transmission of new text is usually preferred to be automatically presented.
NOTE 2: Ideally, the ability to review the last call will last for at least 24 hours.
