Improving the structure of clause 6.1 "Audio bandwidth for speech"
In EN 301 549 v.3.1.2 clause 6.1 "Audio bandwidth for speech" currently reads:
Where ICT provides two-way voice communication, in order to provide good audio quality, that ICT shall be able to encode and decode two-way voice communication with a frequency range with an upper limit of at least 7 000 Hz.
In TR 103 780 v.1.1.1 "Human Factors (HF); Real-Time Text (RTT) in Multiparty Conference Calling" (produced by ETSI STF605) there is a proposal to convert part of the above into a new Note 1 (with existing notes being numbered from 2 and above), so that it would read:
Where ICT provides two-way voice communication, that ICT shall be able to encode and decode two-way voice communication with a frequency range with an upper limit of at least 7 000 Hz.
NOTE 1: The frequency range provides sufficient audio quality for reliable voice perception by most call participants.
